Suppose that fuel prices are through the roof ….?

You might get where you need fast on a plane, but would cost some months to pay or could pay much less (eg salary a week the couple) and take 3 days to get through AIRSHIP passenger (assuming that the blimp is a variety of high technology … that high-tech, big Goodyear Blimp). You take? (Historically, aircraft have been shown to move people and cargo much cheaper than fixed-wing aircraft or cargo aircraft). OJ aircraft have a bright new future?

I do not see them making a return people want to travel fast and convenient. If you want to save money no matter how long it took for me to get somewhere that would probably just taking the train.
