Which are modern airships theoretic capabilities in terms of speed and cargo lift?

Bearing in mind existing technology on fabric and materials’ endurence as well as airships’ aerodynamics and turbo engines’ horse power

it would be difficult for an airship (or dirigible) to attain a ground speed over 40 mph even with advance in modern materials, this is due to the large size of the gas balloon required to lift a mass.
a large dirigible (zeppelin sized) may lift around 4000kg after the weight of the balloon,cockpit and engines have been taken into account.
high thrust engines would require heavier mounting and larger fuel tanks and a larger balloon making them uneconomical to use. as a side note an american company has released previews of a personal 1 person dirigible however they cost a lot and arent yet a replacement for the car. you can see it here:
